"Celebrating Progress Against AIDS: World AIDS Day"

Every year, 1 December is dedicated to mark World AIDS Day, a day to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS, raise awareness of the struggle against these diseases, and unite to overcome them jointly.

From 1988 onward, governments worldwide wear the red ribbon to underscore the fight against on top of the HIV virus and bolster the character. The theme of the World AIDS Day of 2022 is Equalize.

In May 1987, Princess Diana opened the UK's first HIV-affected care center in London Middlesex Hospital.

She shook the hand of a man infected with the virus to break down taboos connected to it.

The symptoms of this disease include fever, fatigue, pain in the lower abdomen and while swallowing, sores or swelling in the groin area, ulcers in the mouth or a white tongue, etc.

Over 38 million people are drawn to the HIV virus. It was discovered only recently, so many people have been kept in the dark for a long time previously.

Through World AIDS Day, students are encouraged to get tested for AIDS and decrease the irrational and false perception of the illness.
