A portion of controversial Indian media has claimed that Delhi AIIMS servers were hacked from China.
Five main servers were targeted in an alleged Chinese cyberattack, the report from India Today claims, citing Delhi Police IFSO sources.
India's IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, speaking of the recent cyberattack, said that there may be a high-level organized gang behind it.
The Minister of Home Affairs said that the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and the Delhi Police are looking into the matter.
The Indian federal government makes numerous arrangements to protect autonomous entities like AIIMS, but the hospital hires commercial companies to fulfill this obligation.
Hackers allegedly have demanded approximately Rs 200 crore from AIIMS.
The cybercrime compromised millions of patient files containing personal information about VVIPs, including politicians and celebrities.
